Jayhawk Collegiate League

Jayhawk Collegiate League

The Sunflower Collegiate League (SCL), was a not-for-profit 501(c)3 summer collegiate baseball league, played our inaugural season during the summer of 2017 as a Premiere League Affiliate of the National Baseball Congress.  In our first year, we had two of our members finish in the top 5 at the National Baseball Congress World Series compiling a 14-3 record for our league. Since then, our league has distinguished itself each year at the NBC World Series. Through many changes, the league is now made up of 7 independently owned teams in South Central Kansas playing in Augusta, Derby, Great Bend, Haysville, Hutchinson, Kingman, and Newton  We were re-organized in 2023 to operate as the Jayhawk Collegiate League to celebrate some of the history of baseball in our area and our member teams.

Working together as a league, and not just as individual teams, our goal is to provide a cost-effective opportunity for both local and college players from across the United States (and sometimes around the world) to come to communities in Kansas and play summer baseball.  Not only do we want them to become better baseball players over the summer, but we would also like them to become better young men as well.  We feel there is no better place than Kansas to accomplish all of these things!
