The Aviators begin their season at the Jayhawk League Jamboree which starts this Friday, June 2nd. The Aviators play on Saturday at 10AM and Noon with a Press Conference following.

With their run-rule victory over the San Diego Stars, the Aviators punch

their ticket to the bracket-play portion of the NBC World Series.

The post-season started this past Saturday.  At 5PM, Haysville took on Derby in Derby. After losing that game, we waited for the challenger for Sunday afternoon. The Aviators took the Islanders in convincing fashion to forge ahead to what has become the final game of the championship on Monday night (7/25) IN HAYSVILLE–essentially for 3rd place in out league tournament and the final NBC World Series spot in the field of 16…

Great Start to the season!

‘Thank you’s are way overdue. We had a great season and came up just short of an opportunity to play in the NBC World Series this summer. It is due to the hard work of some great volunteers, amazing staff and talented players. In addition, we had some of the best fans in the area–you supported us at home and away with enthusiastic dedication. Because of Coach Spongberg’s talent and baseball pedigree, he was hired to a new position at William Jewell and will not be able to coach for us next summer. Please see our Coaching staff page to meet our new head coach Colton Flax. We have lots coming up. Please find our great host family coordinators at the Fall Fest and look for us out and around Haysville in the coming months.

This is one of the grittiest teams we have had in quite a while. I can’t wait to see how this season shakes out..

After careful deliberations and receiving input from multiple stakeholders, the Aviators have withdrawn from the Jayhawk League of Kansas and accepted an invitation from rising star the Sunflower Collegiate League. We thank the Jayhawk League for their camraderie and competition but look forward to bright days and years ahead with the Sunflower Collegiate League.
